Job Description

Role

We are looking for a Senior HR, Admin Officer to join our team and support the day-to-day activities of our Human Resources department. Under the management of the Support Coordinator (SC) with the support of the Head of supporting the senior HR, Admin Officer contributes to the operations of Geneva Call in Afghanistan. Senior HR & Admin Officer responsibilities include processing employee data, updating company policies, and assisting in the hiring process. To be successful in this role, you should have solid organizational skills and be familiar with HR functions.

Activities

  • Maintaining physical and digital personnel records like employment contracts
  • Personnel Files Management and support in fulfilling the support documents of individuals.
  • Update internal databases with new hire information.
  • Create and distribute guidelines and FAQ documents about company policies.
  • Schedule job interviews and contact candidates ad needed.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on HR-related metrics like total number of hires by department.
  • Develop training and onboarding material.
  • Respond to employees’ questions about benefits (for example, number of vacation days they’re eligible for)
  • Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
  • Maintain both hard and digital copies of employees' records.
  • Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
  • Assist with performance management procedures.
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
  • Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
  • Assist with payroll and ad-hoc HR projects.
  • Support other assigned functions.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.  

Main qualifications

  • Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills.
  • Exposure to payroll practices.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.

Job Requirement

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in economic or finance or accounting any other relevant departments level education.
  • More than 5 years of experience in a previous similar role.
  • Experience with international organisations is preferred.

  • Fluent in english.
  • Other language is a plus.
