Job Description

  1. Promoting the MaA project's existing brand and introducing handicraft products to the local, national, and international markets.
  2. Researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, understanding consumer requirements, identifying market trends, and suggesting system improvements to achieve the MaA project's goals.
  3. Implementation of marketing and sales strategies based on the MaA project objectives.
  4. Implementing new sales plans and advertising for the MaA handicraft products.
  5. Maintaining relationships with important clients by making regular visits and understanding their needs.
  6. Finds ways to sell products in the face of a down market.
  7. Maintaining an accurate record of all sales, scheduled customer appointments, and customer complaints.
  8. Sets up booths at exhibitions and demonstrates the MaA handicraft products.
  9. Staying current in the market through online marketing opportunities and a variety of media.
  10. Gathering, investigating, and summarizing market data and trends to draft reports.
  11. Conduct marketing and coordination meetings with the private sectors and the related parties in connection with the MaA project goals.
  12. Contribute to any other activities required for the successful completion of the MaA project.
  13. Execute any other duties assigned by the supervisor or project management.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Management, BBA, Economics, Public Administration, or any other related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing and sales activities for donor-funded projects.
  • Strong negotiation and bargaining skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop marketing and sales plans and execute marketing in a timely manner.
  • The mentioned position requires 70% travel.
  • Practical experience in maintaining a list of qualified vendors.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in office related computer applications.
  • Proficient in English Dari and Pashto languages.
  • Good working knowledge of English Language highly desirable
