About AWEC: AWEC is a non-political, non-profit, woman-headed national organization established in 1991 by a group of educated Afghan women in exile, who rallied together to address the lack of facilities for Afghan refugees in Islamabad and eventually Peshawar, in Pakistan. AWEC has always been involved in advocacy and awareness-raising for women and children’s rights while providing services to those who frequently fall through safety nets. In recent years, one of AWEC’s core activities has been to support women through mobilizing Afghans, from local communities to political elites, towards the goal of reducing and eventually eliminating violence against women. Our vision in AWEC is “an inclusive and just society with sensitized and responsive public and private sector, where all women and children have access to opportunities to improve their quality of life in order to realize their full potential”.
Job Description
Position Objective
The incumbent of this position under supervision of Project Manager will assist Trainers/Teachers in capacity building and carrying relevant administrative tasks.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
Conduct field visits and work to understand the challenges in production, marketing and sales, with emphasis on women’s hand embroidery and buyer seller relationship dynamics.
Organize and participate in the local exhibitions for the purpose promoting and selling the local hand-made embroidered products.
Conduct and assist the Goldozi Marketing Specialist in market analysis and surveys in the target province.
Collect monthly sales data from women embroiderers and share it with the Goldozi technical team.
Perform other marketing-related tasks as assigned by the project manager
Job Requirement
Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business administration or other relevant field.
At least 3 years of experience working in marketing related activities. Experience working on marketing activities that consider gender mainstreaming is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate an ability to work in a culturally mixed environment.
Ability to think strategically and critically about the role of marketing in achieving project objectives.
Strong interpersonal and client-relations skills.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation and editing skills in English, Dari and Pashtu.
Ability to work effectively, both, independently and in a team unit.
