Job Description
Purpose of the role:
Learning and Development (LnD) Unit is responsible majorly for staff members’ onboarding program and their capacity development throughout their career. Apart from training courses for ICRC employees, the LnD Unit also carries out other learning activities for the organization, which requires administrative support from a course administrator. The course administrator works closely with trainers of the unit, which is under People and Culture department. The main purpose of this position is to provide efficient and timely technical, logistics, and administrative support to ensure that the courses and other activities run smoothly.
Main Responsibilities:
- Communicate appropriate pre-course information and applications of training courses.
- Responsible for administrative and logistic matters related to course organisation and other learning activities.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including administration, logistics, and resource persons, and external providers and suppliers of training-related products and services.
- Prepares for meetings by setting up rooms and materials, including technical set-up for presentations, and video conferences.
- Works with trainers to co-facilitate the digital learning support and online platform.
- After the end of the course, processes invoice and conducts data validation and breakdown; records course completion and enters statistical information.
- Co-facilitate Working in the ICRC course and training need assessment process
- Other tasks such as writing minute-of-meeting reports, translating training materials, participating in annual planning.
- Regularly travel to all ICRC sub-sites in Afghanistan, including abroad with the department.
- Represents the ICRC in an appropriate way and avoids any activity that may reflect negatively on the ICRC’s image.
Job Requirement
- At least 5 years work experience in a similar function
- Good command of written and spoken English, Dari and Pashtu
- Very good computer skills; especially Microsoft Excel or data management
- Flexible and able to occasional travel within the country/region
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Capacity to integrate and implement ICRC policies and procedures
- Good analytical and communication skills with service mind
- Strong interpersonnel skills
