Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the AREA’s recruitment/hiring process, to ensure the hired staffs are fully capable of meeting the requirements of the respective positions which is in accordance to AREA hiring guidelines.
- Make sure any recruitment takes place in full conformity with the call of the in place policies/procedures.
- Advertise Job Ads, look for qualified candidates, invite and encourage prospective candidates for employment with AREA. Screen candidates in collaboration with the hiring unit short-list the ideal candidates. Participate in interview, and make hiring recommendations. Inform short-listed candidates for test/interviews and the final result. Ensure transparent and bias-free recruitment process observation.
- Assist in training AREA’s staff in recruitment process. Provide them with written outline of steps, timelines, and responsibilities to be followed to ensure an orderly and expeditious recruitment process, and instruct them in proper use of standard forms.
- Coordinate recruitment of local long-term resources, ensure quality control of recruitment process, interview candidates, and make recommendations to technical staff. Prepare weekly reports to Sr. Operations Officer on progress in recruitment activities.
- Keep all Regional office recruitment files up to date, and coordinate update of field office files Establish system for personnel files; train field personnel in maintenance of personnel files and monitor compliance with this system.
- Coordinate and supervise preparation of employment agreements for all AREA staff and submit to the Admin & Finance Manager for further approval.
- Orient incoming staff at the regional office and coordinate with the field office on regional employee orientation.
- Assist the Admin/Finance Officer in establishing calendar and process for completing annual employee performance evaluations. Train supervisors charged with conducting evaluations of staff members in their units, and monitor compliance with the process.
- Distribute responsibilities to all related project staff, giving them their individual terms of references;
- Be responsible for any instruction and additional assignment given by Manager/MD
Job Requirement
Education:
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree in BBA in Bachelor of business administration, HRM social studies or relevant field; further training will be a plus
Experience:
- 4-5 years of proven working experience as HR Officer, Administrator position
- Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
- Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures.
- Experience in managing the HR activities in light of scope of HR policy;
- S/he should be able to arrange HR related tasks as per schedule;
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus
- Mother tongue speaker of the language (s) spoken in the geographical area of assignment
- Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
