About ORCD: Organization for Research & Community Development (ORCD) is a Non-governmental, Non-political, Non-profitable and independent organization founded in 2010 by a group of community development and research specialist. The aim of the organization is to contribute to the development of Afghanistan as an integral part of the international community. It envisages accomplishing its aims by building local capacities, generating evidence in various disciplines, promoting evidence-based on best practices and implementing development projects aimed at community development at the grass root level. It is the only Afghan NGO having Special Consultative Status with the United Nations since 2015.
Job Description
- Assist in the revision of the project log frame matrix, particularly in the areas of performance indicators and their measurement.
- Assist in the development and/or finalization of the project Work Plan and keep it updated in accordance with project activities and timeframes as relevant.
- Develop the overall framework, for project M&E, for example mid-term project review, impact assessment, final evaluation, develop project Performance Monitoring Plan with relevant data collection systems.
- Review the quality of existing data in the project subject areas, the methods of collecting it, and the degree to which it will provide good baseline statistics for impact evaluation
- Develop baseline data for the project component and for all project indicators
- Perform baseline nutritional survey at the outset of the project
- With collaborating partners, review their existing approaches and management information systems and agree on any required changes, support and resources.
- Develop a plan for project-related capacity-building on M&E and for any computer-based support that may be required.
- Organize and undertake training with collaborating partners on M&E as required.
- Produce reports on M&E findings and prepare presentations based on M&E data as required.
Provide the Project Manager with management information she/he may require.
Check that monitoring data are discussed in appropriate forum and in a timely fashion in terms of implications for future action. If necessary, create such discussions to fill any gap. - Assist manager in preparing monthly/quarterly and annual reports
- Fill out donor’s all required forms on monthly base
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Project Manager and the Director of ORCD.
Job Requirement
- The candidate must have degree in, BBA, Social science, Management, or any relevant subject from a recognized university with good academic standing.
- Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in M&E
- High level of demonstrated competency in developing and implementing effective strategies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and local languages
- Sufficient data analysis and report writing skills.
- Strong organizational, survey, and oral presentation skills
- Proven ability to work in a team and intercultural environment, with minimal supervision
- Enthusiasm for, and commitment to development work
