About Sanayee Development Organization (SDO): Sanayee Development Organization (SDO) is an Afghan development NGO, established in 1990 in Peshawar - Pakistan, to serve Afghan refugees in that area. SDO takes its name from Hazrat Abu-ul-Majad Majdod Ibn-e-Adam, well known as Hazrat Hakeem Sanayee, (1088 – 1166 A.D), one of Afghanistan’s most outstanding poets. In 2002, SDO expanded its services and relocated to Kabul - Afghanistan, with the mission to contribute to the emergence of a peaceful, developed and self-sustaining Afghan society through the provision of services to vulnerable and disadvantaged people in remote and underserved rural areas of Afghanistan in the sectors of Peace building and Conflict Transformation, Health, Education and Community Development. Over time, SDO has established an extensive field presence and has implemented projects in 22 of Afghanistan’s 34 provinces. Today, SDO continues to operate in nine provinces in the northern, western, eastern and southern regions of the country. In all its works, SDO applies a participatory, community-based approach to development, working with community-based organizations, as well as relevant sub-national government bodies. SDO is an active member of major civil society networks at national, regional and international levels.
Job Description
- Develop training materials for training for community members.
- Conduct training sessions for beneficiaries in target communities.
- Evaluate the knowledge and skills of community members who received training to make sure that the training approach is in accurate manner.
- Evaluates training by evaluating effectiveness of training to specific job applications.
- Maintains safe and healthy training environment by following organization standards and legal regulations.
- Implement teaching plan in accordance with the approved curriculum.
- Conduct practical work and site visit to ensure the utilization of the skilled and knowledge gained through training.
- Conduct regular assessment on the progress of the trainees.
- Identify trainees’ strengths and individual interests.
- Enable and support the trainees to participate in recreational and group activities.
- Promote safety and assess risks associated with the Trainees’ behaviors and activities in the training center under the direction of the Provincial Supervisor.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Undertake practical tasks relating to the support of the placements. .
- Promote trainees’ equality, diversity, rights and responsibilities.
- Continue to develop own knowledge and practice.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post.
- Ensures an overview of all projects of the department (Work plan, Activity plan, Reports, Meetings, Events, Problems)
- Organize and lead regularly project coordination meetings and ensures an effective internal communication
Job Requirement
Knowledge and Skills
- Meets all the basic requirements to be appointed as a Master Trainer.
- Has experience of at least 5 years with bachelor holder or 3 years experience with Master degree in related field (Master degree in peacebuilding related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated competence in planning, designing, delivering, and evaluating training for adults.
- Demonstrate excellent trainers skills
- Has taken at least one additional training course in a related skill area or trainer competency area.
- Outstanding documentation, organizational time management and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal English, Dari and Pashtu skills
