Complying with the Core Humanitarian Standards and its indicators, alongside the commitments listed in the Charter for Change, strengthening partners’ capacities, and forming a stronger partnership spirit in the humanitarian assistance field is of crucial value. This assignment will directly contribute to building the capacities of DKH Asia partner’s staff who are using QuickBooks Accounting Software on daily basis. To empower them with the practical skills that enable them to master utilizing the functions offered by the software and eventually improve the quality of the use of their time.

Job Description

The training and its sessions will be preferably conducted in person or remotely via online communication platforms due to COVID-19 travel constraints.
The trainer’s tasks will be:
1. Summarize the technical skills gaps of the training audience
2. Design a practical and interactive training methodology
3. Train and coach the training participants on the specific areas of QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2013 version functions & reporting as follows:
a. Budgeting and budget estimation.
b. Payroll– where possible
c. Setting up chart of accounts
d. Reports generating
e. Transactional functions & related reporting
f. (Inventory Functions) Register, track & report inventory, and Fixed Assets
g. Exchange Gain/ losses handling
h. Optimizing the use of QuickBooks Desktop features
i. Any other function as needed
4. Assess and submit cost-benefit analysis/table for current software version vs Upgrading to Premier version

Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Identifying ADA’s technical requirements: together with the contact person of ADA’s Finance unit, the Trainer shall identify and specify the needs of the Partner in order to customize the training accordingly.
2. Providing a well-structured, practical, and guided training: preferably face-to-face training OR using an Online platform of the Trainer’s choice, the Trainer shall conduct the training in a practical and interactive manner while ensuring the technical details are well-explained and understood by each of the participants. Customization of QuickBooks Desktop functions according to the Partner’s needs.
3. Creating a comparison description between the current QuickBooks Desktop version and the next possible upgrade: listing down the added value of upgrading the current QuickBooks version against its cost.
4. Creating a (Manual) user guide: specific to the functions that are trained on, the trainer shall create an explanatory user guide containing the specific steps to be followed for each of the functions listed in this TOR.
5. Evaluation: the trainer shall conduct a technical evaluation to ensure that the participants are fully aware of the practicality of the functions they were trained on.
6. Reporting: submit a final training report which must include:
• Training objectives and outcomes
• Audience Technical Skills Gap observation
• Training Methodology.
• Exercise and training material
• Description of challenges faced during the training.
• Annexed QB training user guide.
• Annexed evaluation & feedback reports per participant.
• In the case where the training will be conducted Online, the training sessions must be recorded and the recording must be shared.
The Training is to be conducted over 5 – 7 consecutive business days on an average of 2 – 3 hours daily. The time needed for the entire training is estimated between 7 – 12 days overall.
Scheduling:
DKH expects to commence the training between Jul 10, 2021, and July 17, 2021. Applicants shall remain flexible in their availability as the exact dates are yet to be determined.

Important Note: 

The budget must also include the service tax of 10% in compliance
to the Jordanian Sales and Income Tax laws. Payment of the contract will be released in EUR via bank transfer.

Job Requirement

The proposal must include:
• Trainer’s updated CV – including a short summary of similar training and previous relevant experiences.
• Technical Proposal including technical methodology (must not exceed 5 pages). For Online training, please specify how the training will be interactive and practical.
• Proposed Budget inclusive all applicable taxes, including 10% service tax that will be paid for tax Authorities in Jordan.
• Work plan broken down against proposed budget & timeline.
The final report must include:
• Training objectives and outcomes
• Audience Technical Skills Gap observation
• Training Methodology.
• Exercise and training material
• Description of challenges faced during the training.
• Annexed QB training user guide.
• Annexed evaluation & feedback reports per participant.
• In the case where the training will be conducted Online, the training sessions must be recorded and a link to the recording where it is saved must be shared.
Required Competencies:
• Proven experience in using and training on QuickBooks Accounting Software.
• If the training is conducted remotely; Proven experience in conducting online technical and practical training using different methodology is a must.
• Knowledge in customizing QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2013 Accounting Software to match clients’ needs.
• Accounting Profession Degree/ Academic
• Fluency in English.

Language:
The training will be in English.
Reports are to be submitted to DKH in English
