Job Description

The Cargo Sales Specialist is responsible for driving sales of cargo and freight services, establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role requires a proactive approach to sales, a strong understanding of the logistics industry especially multimodal transportation, and the ability to meet sales targets while adhering to company policies and market trends.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase cargo sales and market share.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through sales visits, cold calling, and networking.
  • Promote the company's cargo services to existing and potential customers, including freight forwarding companies, manufacturers, importers and exporters.
  • Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to closure, ensuring targets and deadlines are met.
  • Work closely with operations team to ensure seamless delivery of cargo services.
  • Collaborate with customer service and operations teams to resolve any operational issues that may impact sales.
  • Monitor the quality of service provided to customers, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs as set by the head of business unit.
  • Regularly review and assess personal sales performance, implementing strategies for improvement.


Job Requirement

  • Knowledge of logistics and transportation markets.
  • Ability to Handle FCL and LCL inquires.
  • Strong sources for multimodal transportation and freight forwarding.
  • Sales closer.
