Job Description
The Project Manager at Hoodmand Humanitarian & Rehabilitation Organization (HHRO) will oversee the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects that align with HHRO’s mission of empowering Afghan communities through climate action, education, social well-being, and humanitarian aid. The Project Manager will ensure project goals are met within the specified timeframe, budget, and quality standards. This role requires collaboration with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to foster sustainable community impact while upholding HHRO’s core values of compassion, integrity, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets in alignment with organizational goals.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure resource allocation, task assignments, and adherence to project schedules.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet objectives and manage any arising challenges.
- Implement evaluation tools to measure project success, generate insights, and apply lessons learned to future initiatives.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the main point of contact for partners, community representatives, and stakeholders, ensuring regular communication and transparency.
- Prepare detailed reports for funders, partners, and HHRO leadership, including project milestones, budgets, and impact assessments.
- Team Management and Development:
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and efficiency.
- Identify training needs and provide guidance to team members to enhance skills and project performance.
- Risk Management and Compliance:
- Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with all HHRO policies, donor requirements, and regulatory frameworks to maintain transparency and accountability.
Job Requirement
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, preferably within humanitarian or non-governmental organizations.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects with budget constraints and specific compliance requirements.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Pashto, Pashto, Englsih and Dari.
- Proficiency in project management tools.
- Leadership and Problem-Solving:
- Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop diverse teams.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Commitment to HHRO Values:
- A strong commitment to HHRO’s mission and values, including compassion, integrity, and sustainable development.
- Willingness to travel to project sites in both rural and urban settings as needed.
