About Youth's Assembly for Afghanistan Rehabilitation (YAAR): Youth’s Assembly for Afghanistan Rehabilitation (YAAR) is a Non- Governmental, Not-for-profit and Non-Political organization established in 1994 in Afghanistan with the aim to put its efforts in the emergency relief, rehabilitation and development of Afghanistan. YAAR works in partnership with communities, humanitarian and development organizations through a participatory approach for the marginalized communities with special focus on women, children and youth in Afghanistan.
Job Description
Youth's Assembly for Afghanistan Rehabilitation (YAAR) is hiring a dedicated Coordinator and Translator to join our team. This role is ideal for Female with basic education who are fluent in English, Dari, and Pashto. As part of our team, the candidate will support our projects through translation, coordination of activities, and field visits to different provinces in Afghanistan. This position requires commitment, flexibility, and the ability to work in diverse environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate written and spoken materials between English, Dari, and Pashto (fluency in English language is mandatory).
- Assist in coordinating project activities, meetings, and events.
- Facilitate communication between staff, beneficiaries, and donors.
- Travel to provinces with project teams along with her ( Mahram ) to provide on-ground translation and coordination support.
- Assist in preparing reports, meeting notes, and project documentation in the required languages (Dari, Pashto and English)
- Support the project team in community outreach and engagement activities.
- Maintain good relationships with stakeholders and partners in the field.
- Ensure cultural and linguistic sensitivity in all communications and interactions.
Job Requirement
- Basic education (high school completion but not mandatory, IELTS Certified, TOEFL iBT Accredited or DEL graduated are preferred ). Candidates with relevant bachelor’s degrees will be favorably considered.
- Fluency in English is mandatory, Dari, and Pashto (both written and spoken).
- Willingness and ability to travel to provinces with the team and her Mahram.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Basic organizational and coordination skills are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a similar role with NGOs or INGOs are a plus, but not mandatory.
- YAAR will pay for her Mahram according to YAAR's Policy during the project and her Mahram will be considered as YAAR contractor.
