Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Site Supervisors to oversee on-site operations and ensure the smooth execution of projects. The Site Supervisors will be responsible for managing daily activities, supervising site workers, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role requires an individual with a strong background in construction or facilities management and the ability to lead teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage all on-site activities, ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Coordinate the daily operations of the site, including labor management, material delivery, and task scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Monitor work progress and report any delays or issues to the Project Manager.
- Lead and mentor site workers, providing guidance and ensuring proper use of equipment and tools.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards, address safety concerns, and enforce proper safety procedures.
- Assist with the coordination and supervision of subcontractors and suppliers as needed.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, records, and reports related to site activities.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, ensuring smooth collaboration between different teams on-site.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and accounted for.
Job Requirement
Minimum Qualifications:
- A skilled trade certificate (earned from hands-on work through apprenticeships or skills training).
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role and level, preferably within the construction or facilities management sectors.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams on-site with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, site management practices, and construction methodologies.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate site teams.
- Hands-on problem-solving skills to address site-related challenges quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities, with a focus on meeting project deadlines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Familiarity with tools, equipment, and safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large-scale projects, including facilities management or construction work.
- Certifications in safety management (e.g., OSHA) are a plus.
