About Company
About Sanayee Development Organization (SDO): Independent, private, and non-profit, Sanayee Development Organization (SDO) applies strict political and religious impartiality and operates following principles of non-discrimination, transparency, and responsiveness. SDO is committed to contributing to immediate humanitarian relief to meet urgent needs and ensure people’s dignity while, at the same time, considering co-creating longer-term alternatives for sustainable growth that should enact a reduction of people's dependency on humanitarian assistance. For close to 34 years, SDO proudly reserves a track record of working with millions of deprived and excluded Afghan families in the most remote and poorest areas of Afghanistan to help build basic services, improve livelihood, strengthen the rights of women and children, help communities protect against natural disasters and respond to humanitarian emergencies. Our rights-based approach gives ordinary Afghans the opportunity to voice their needs, having them feel ownership and letting them shape the future of their communities with less external support possible. On the other hand, this approach has left out SDO with great trust and respect among the communities we serve resulting in allowance to gain access to some of the most underserved areas of the country. Being context-sensitive and adhering to the Rights-based Approach, SDO thematically operates in community-based development, peace-building, education, healthcare, women empowerment, and humanitarian assistance.
