Job Description

SEO is seeking applications for a dynamic and experienced Regional Program and Reporting Sr. Coordinator to lead the successful implementation of World Food Program (WFP) funded projects in Herat and Farah provinces focusing on SO1, Emergency Assistance, and School Feeding programs. The Regional Program and Reporting Sr. Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and communicating with local authorities about project activities, ensuring project objectives are met, and effectively managing resources. The WFP Project Regional Program and Reporting Sr. Coordinator is a critical role within SEO, requiring a dynamic and results-driven professional to lead the successful execution of this critical initiative. The candidate who is selected will have the opportunity to contribute to positive change and have a long-term impact on underserved communities.

Job Requirement

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning, Leading and Coordination:

   - Develop a comprehensive project plan outlining key milestones, deliverables, and timelines.

   - Coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment with WFP project objectives and guidelines.

   - Lead and motivate project teams to achieve their full potential.

   - Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

2. Reporting:

   - Prepare and submit regular reports to the main office, WFP, and other relevant authorities.

   - Ensure accuracy and completeness of project documentation.

3. Stakeholder Engagement and M&E:

   - Establish and maintain effective communication channels with project stakeholders including WFP field office, TPM, Local Authorities at provincial and district levels. Collaborate with WFP representatives, government agencies, and other partners to foster positive relationships.

   - Implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to track project progress.

   - Regularly assess and report on project outcomes, identifying areas for improvement.

4. Risk Management:

   - Identify potential risks to project success and implement mitigation strategies.

  - Work closely with the risk management team to address emerging challenges.

5. Resource Management:

   - Manage project resources efficiently, including personnel, and equipment.

   - Ensure optimal utilization of resources to achieve project goals.

Qualifications and Experience:

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a Relevant Field with 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector.

Language proficiency: Excellent in English, Dari/Pashto

Experience:

  • Background of working with WFP projects
  • Strong leadership, coordination, communication, and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
  • Ability to align project activities with overall organizational and WFP objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and address project challenges effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing project conditions and priorities.

Reporting Structure:

The Regional Program and Reporting Sr. Coordinator will report directly to the Executive Director, providing regular updates on project status and seeking guidance on critical matters.
