Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Officer to manage the procurement of goods and services for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop, implement, and maintain procurement strategies and processes.
- Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and legal requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to ensure the timely delivery of goods.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and manage procurement budgets.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to procurement activities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of procurement activities.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and policies.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus.
