Job Description
Job Summary
The M&E Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring and evaluation activities of the project.
The position is located in PIDO Ghazni Office with field work location Dehak district, Sko villages.
Under the direct supervision of Project Manager, the M&E Officer is responsible for overall management and leading the projects’ key M&E activities and will oversee project performance in regular basis. The M&E Officer is responsible for leading the design and implementation of an M&E system that is valued by project staff, ensures that project’s achievements and lessons learned are captured and used for project improvement.
This role has the responsibility to collect, clean, analyze, store and share the data with the project staff and project management team respecting the information-sharing protocols.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development and continuously update Health project M&E, and impact measurement tools and systems on timely fashion.
- Ensure an appropriate monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system is in place and functioning satisfactory.
- Ensure that all activities are implemented according to the activity plan and in line with the project objectives.
- Coordinate the Health field level community participatory monitoring and evaluation, reflective practice and impact measurement;
- Participate and support the development of the M&E tools for project on different levels.
- Undertake regular monitoring of project activities to ensure that the quality and quantity of the program activities being carried according to Project.
- Communicate closely with the field staff of the project for better reporting of the project.
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans, frameworks, and tools specific to maternal and child health programs.
- Perform other duties as requested by Project Implementation Manager.
- Ensure non-partisan, culturally and socially appropriate implementation of project.
- Provide technical support to the provincial staff in data collection, analysis and reporting.

- University Degree in management, Social Sciences or any other relevant field
Experience & Skills
- Strong communication skills in Dari, Pashto and English are essential.
- At least 2 years of M&E experience in Health and protection.
- Developing M&E tools including data bases.
- Excellent computer skills (Especially Excel)
- High degree of demonstrated teamwork skills.
- Excellent understanding of M&E, financial rules and laws of NGOs, UN system and government
- Familiarity with principles of monitoring and evaluation; experience in writing brief narrative reports and data reporting
- Positive and professional attitude, including ability to lead and work well in a team setting
