The organization was informally established in 2011. PEDO is here to assist for the education, construction, rehabilitation, relief, and development in several fields in Afghanistan. PEDO has a main/head office which is located in central Nili city, central Daikundi province Afghanistan. Job Description

Position Overview:

As the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation of projects by developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems. You will work closely with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to collect and analyze data, measure project impact, and provide valuable insights for project improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring and Evaluation Framework:

  • Develop and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework in alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Design data collection tools, methodologies, and indicators to track project progress.

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data through surveys, interviews, and other relevant methods.
  • Analyze data to assess project performance, identify trends, and measure impact.
  • Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on monitoring and evaluation findings.

Reporting:

  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate monitoring and evaluation reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Capacity Building:

  • Provide training and support to project staff and partners on data collection, monitoring, and evaluation activities.
  • Promote a culture of learning and accountability within the organization.

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct regular assessments to ensure the quality and integrity of project data.
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with project partners and stakeholders to gather relevant information and insights.
  • Foster strong relationships with local communities to enhance data collection efforts.

Job Requirement

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Two years proven experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in the context of education or development projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with M&E frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent spoken and written Dari and Pashto (English is preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
