Job Description

Yosura Road Building and Construction Company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Survey Engineer to join our team. As a Survey Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our road construction projects, ensuring accurate measurements, precise mapping, and data collection. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to support the successful completion of road projects. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the overall quality and efficiency of our operations.

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Survey Engineer or similar role in road construction projects.
  • Proficient in operating surveying instruments and equipment, including total stations, GPS receivers, and digital levels.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Experience with surveying software and CAD tools.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for accurate calculations and data interpretation.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of precision in surveying activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards in road construction.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address survey-related challenges.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and navigate challenging terrain during surveying activities.

Job Requirement

  • Conduct land surveys and topographic surveys to gather accurate data for road construction projects.
  • Use surveying instruments, such as total stations, GPS receivers, and digital levels, to measure distances, elevations, angles, and contours.
  • Prepare and review survey reports, including data analysis, calculations, and drawings.
  • Perform precise calculations to determine alignments, grades, volumes, and earthwork quantities.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering codes, and relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop and implement surveying plans, including setting control points and benchmarks.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction plans, profiles, cross-sections, and other engineering drawings.
  • Conduct periodic inspections and quality control checks to verify the accuracy and reliability of survey data.
  • Support the identification and resolution of any survey-related issues or discrepancies.
  • Utilize surveying software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools effectively for data processing, analysis, and documentation.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in surveying technology, and best practices to enhance surveying techniques and methodologies.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines during surveying activities.
  • Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and resolve any survey-related challenges.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior surveying staff, when required.
