Job Description
The Bamyan Program advisor supports and trains the Morning Star Development BLiSS program and BHEC in Bamyan. This position reports to the Bamyan Deputy Director.. This position will be filled by an expat with extensive experience with the international based NGO and must be able to travel outside the country
Job Requirement
- BLiSS is a community-based health education course covering basic health, pregnancy, birth, new-born care and family planning. BLiSS 'purpose is to increase community health awareness of maternal-child health issues, resulting in reduced maternal and neonatal mortality.
- Program Advisor must offer oversight and leadership. Applicants must be BLiSS qualified and be able to develop and oversee program syllabus and coordinate and train the local staff.
- Build relationships with Project Managers and staff.
- Develop and maintain an ongoing field activity reporting system that provides data, stories and pertinent information to the Global Headquarter and other relevant parties.
- Execute a program wide impact and evaluation measuring tool for the BLiSS.
- Initiate recommendations for project development and expansion in Bamyan, including additional medical, literacy and trauma training for program staff.
