About Women and Youth Future Assist Organization: Women & Youth Future Assist (WYFAO) is a non-profiting, non–governmental and non–political organization that is mainly involved in humanitarian and developmental activities and serves the people in need. WYFAO was founded back in 2016 by a group of young Afghan professionals with high spirit of helping and shaping lives in Afghanistan. WYFAO was established to play a prominent role in addressing the actual needs of poor people and enable all Afghans speak for their rights and have an enabling environment for their development and prosperity.

Job Description

Technical Duties

  • Prepare, process and record all the Bank receipts/transfers and cheque payments.
  • Prepare/process and keep the track of fund transfers to the regional offices.
  • Accountancy Recording & Documents Preparation
  • Collect the financial information (Journals, Bills …) from the regional offices.
  • Prepare vouchers (stick invoices on the voucher, fill the designation, Donor & Budget codes..)
  • Ensure that all the required supporting documents are attached with the invoice and meet WYFAO standards of invoicing before any payment
  • Responsible to post all transactions in to the QuickBooks system on daily basis.
  • Responsible to photocopy/scan vouchers and to archive properly the accountancy (by month, vouchers and operations) on a daily basis.
  • Prepare vouchers for all Bank and Cash bills and documents.
  • Enter all Bank and Cash financial transactions in to the QuickBooks.
  • payments and receipts and ensure that the donations are received/payments are paid on timely basis.
  • Account, record and process the tax payments to the government.
  • Supervise the cashier and ensure his/her performance accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in fulfilling his official jobs assignments and preparing financial reports.
  • Prepare the monthly financial report with all necessary justifying documentation.
  • Support Finance Manager in budget analysis through maintenance of the budget forecast tool.
  • Prepare all relevant supporting financial and accounting documents for external auditing and support it.
  • Support in preparing bank reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly payment record for salary payment etc.

 

Managerial Tasks

  • Maintain a proper filing system of all financial records for main and regional offices.
  • Tax Accounting/documentation & Contract Management
  • Record and manage the donor/project and service contracts and keep the track

 

Coordination Task

  • Maintain record of staff contracts and attendance.
  • Tax Clearness with the ministry of finance, MTO, and other elated organization
  • Any other task assigned by the Finance Manager.

Job Requirement

Experience/ Requirement:

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, ACCA, CIA or related field.
  • Minimum of 03 years of relevant experience in financial accounting with NGO’s , UN, UN funded Projects or similar
  • Experience in managing and supporting external clients.
  • Recent experience in supervising teams.
  • Experience working in QuickBooks is required.
  • Experience in the usage of computers and MS Office packages. Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages.
  • Experience with IFRS is required to make sure WYFAO complies.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in Pashto and Dari; strong knowledge of English is highly required.
