Job Description

Al-Mouwasat Welfare Organization is presently looking for energetic, hardworking and experienced Transport Officer, as part of the Al-Mouwasat Operations team building process. We encourage all professionals to submit job applications and CV before the deadline indicated.

General:

  • The Transportation Officer, will be responsible for supervising the staff who pick up, drive and drop off patients at various locations.
  • The Transport Officer will oversee the team and ensure their satisfactory performance, and he will also recruit, hire and train new on how to pick up, drive and drop off injured in incidents.
  • The Patient Resources department will oversee Transport Officers Position, and he will report to the head of the Operations Department.

Job Requirement

Ambulance Management:

  • Make sure that Inspecting the ambulance before each shift, checking the fuel, oil, transmission fluid, wiper fluid, and coolant, and reporting any needed repairs.
  • Checking the first aid and medical supplies inventory levels before each shift and ensuring the ambulance is well-stocked.
  • Sanitizing the ambulance and safely disposing of any medical waste and soiled linens.
  • Making sure vehicles are properly maintained.
  • Arranging repairs and routine maintenance.
  • Ensuring that all drivers have up to date training sessions.
  • Reducing the risk of vehicle overloading.
  • Maintaining and completing accurate records.
  • Keeping schedules and organizing team members

 

Patient Transportation Management:

  • Propose annual budget for patient transportation needs
  • Receive, record and respond to feedback from patients and patients’ guests
  • Coordinate schedules for drivers and patients needing transportation
  • Recruit and train all newly employed drivers on who to pick up injured people in incidents.
  • Conduct reviews with drivers to ensure they continually perform satisfactorily
  • Ensure all vehicles are safe, clean and legally compliant
  • Arrange maintenance and repairs on vehicles as necessary
  • Coach and discipline drivers as necessary
  • Gather, record and interpret data regarding patient transportation
  • Liaising with media, ministries and other partners in outreach and public relations to cover Al-Mouwasat ambulance services.
  • Perform other duties as required and requested by supervisors.
