Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
- The M&E Assistant will be responsible for managing and implementing M&E activities and delivering a Comprehensive Monitoring and Evaluation Plan (CMEP) for a high-quality quantity and results-oriented project focused on providing Shelter assistance to vulnerable families in Herat province.
- Developing operational monitoring tools (checklist questionnaires databases interviews and survey forms etc.)
- Develop weekly monthly monitoring and evaluation plans Shelter assistance to vulnerable families in Herat province outlining data collection analysis and reporting tools and processes.
- Perform field visits to the target areas to assess the results of the project activities
- Develop a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation reports outlining project achievements weaknesses and recommendations and highlighting corrective actions to be taken to tackle weaknesses
- Recommend tools and strategies to increase program performance and results.
- Collects analyzes enters and reports Projects data and information accurately thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Responsible to ensure the quantity and quality of Shelter Construction and Repair/Upgrade project Activities from selection of beneficiaries to distribution of Cash or material in the field.
- Conducts monitoring visits to ensure quality implementation of the project at selected target areas.
- Overlook activities of the team selecting beneficiaries’ selection committee to select vulnerable beneficiaries based on the criteria
- Conducting Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) to ensure eligible selected beneficiaries have received items as per the quality mentioned in the contract with supplier.
- Assists the M&E manager to contribute to all required reports including though not necessarily limited to Monthly Quarterly and Annual Reports.
- Verification of Selected eligible beneficiaries through a door-to-door survey
- Perform any other tasks as requested by the shelter Project Manager or Program Manager/Program coordinator
Job Requirement
- Bachelor of Social Science and other relevant fields.
- Special training and software knowledge will be given preference
- 1-3 year/s progressive working experience related to data collection and field monitoring.
- Good communication negotiation analytical and report writing skills.
- Good computer skills Windows/MS Office/Excel and command on using statistical packages.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of standards for the implementation of projects.
- Proficiency in Pashto and Dari along with a fair level of understanding of the English language
- Good interpersonal and social skills
