Job Description
- Purpose of the Position:
Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Border Monitoring Project Manager, the Assistant Manager has the overall responsibility for assisting the Project Manager with the implementation of the Border Monitoring component of the PSN Program in Southern Afghanistan. The Assistant Manager will support the Project Manager in coordination of project activities with relevant de-factor government institutions and other stakeholders at the regional and provincial level.
- Specific Responsibilities:
- Under the general guidance and overall supervision of the Border Monitoring Project Manager, the Assistant Manager will perform the following duties:
- Support Project Manager and team in monitoring of project activities, maintain accurate record, analysis, facilitate & assist in monitoring & evaluating of project activities with the support of WADAN & other stakeholders.
- Report project work progress information to Project Manager after completion of each monitoring & evaluation process.
- Collect information for the Border Monitoring Component of the PSN Project and update database on regular basis.
- Provide necessary administrative support in the facilitation for project related activities and trainings and meeting with potential stakeholders and beneficiaries.
- Closely follow-up with field teams on required resources for smooth data collection i.e., authorization letter and prepare field activity plans in coordination with the protection monitors and field officers and crowd controllers.
- Responsible to ensure proper documentation and filling system and take care of the cultural sensitivities in field visits.
- Keep the records of relevant monthly and quarterly progress reports of the project and update the filling system daily, weekly, and monthly bases with incoming and outgoing correspondence with local institutions.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager
Job Requirement
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Public Administration or related field. Masters Degree is Preferable
- 3 years Experience in Managment and working experience with Rapid response.
- Familiarity of the targeted areas understand the norms and culture of local societie
- Good organizational, communication, interpersonal, and team skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English Dari and Pashto, both written and spoken
- Familiar with report writing and planning, Monitoring and supervision
- Honest, proactive, and well mannered.
