Job Description

  • Conduct data collection using the provided data collection tools through interviews/surveys, making sure the collected data is accurately recorded.
  • Conduct household survey (or other type of survey and assessment) on the target households within the assigned areas.
  • Able to travel to field sites even in remote area to collect and record data and/or samples as appropriate to the specific objectives of the study.
  • Able to conduct and record face-to-face interview with the respondents
  • Respect to the respondent’s idea during the interview process
  • Review and edit data to ensure completeness and accuracy of information
  • Document all the findings in the provided data collection tools in a clear and concise manner.
  • Able to collect the data on the given time
  • Data collector should have a good and clear handwriting
  • Communicate to the MEAL Manger any issues that might arise during data collection in the field
  • Able to translate the data from Dari/Pashto to English for data entry purposes
  • Able to enter the data into mobile phone (KOBO toolbox system)
  • Take responsibility for project equipment that you may be entrusted with.
  • Participate in the relevant trainings when requested
  • Taking photos/video clips of the beneficiaries during assessment/distribution when requested
  • Perform other responsibilities assigned by the line manager.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum High school graduate, Diploma in the relevant field is preferable.
  • One year of experience in field assessment/social activities/monitoring and evaluation/ coordination.
  • Expertise and experience in the humanitarian sector contexts and programs.
  • Strong experience in using KOBO application
  • Ability to work as an effective team member
  • Ability to work independently and have confidence to undergo household visits.
  • Ability to travel to field on daily bases
  • Have strong Interpersonal Communication Skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in relevant field
  • Fast in English typing and ability to read and understand English assessment forms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

Fluency in Dari and Pashto.
