Job Description

  • Develop transitional center’s (TC) plan, including setting indicators, selection of target beneficiaries, re-integration, reporting, case management, and developing M&E and/ performance monitoring plans to deliver quality services for street working childre (SWC) and unaccompanied and separated children (USAC).
  • Oversee the hiring, training, support and supervision of staff. Ensure that all staff are properly trained and given ongoing training opportunities, promote teamwork, coordinate the workload of staff, delegate responsibilities and maintain positive staff morale.
  • Revised/develop SOPs for the activities of the transitional center and ensure program operations and services are consistent with established SOPs
  • Develop schedules for the project staff including social workers, teachers, vocational/business development officers and facilitators to carry out their plans as per the project plans.
  • Present the transitional centre activity to various stakeholders, attends technical cooperation meetings and undertakes follow up action related to the project scopes.
  • Provide administrative support to the centre and communicate the logistical needs of the centre with relevant unit
  • Make sure all children receiving services from the TC are supported with standard case management procedures
  • Making sure the beneficiaries of all the programs in the center are selected in accordance with the set criteria
  • Meets with the UASC one-on-one to learn about their skills, education, and employment preferences, and help them develop individualized graduation plans and identify other resources to overcome barriers to success and support educational and employment goals.
  • Oversees the psycho-social support activities provided for the children by counsellors and facilitators through one-on-one sessions and adolescents friendly space.
  • Build rapport with the public schools to enroll the USAC and SWC; and to monitor children enrollment and progress
  •  Conducts follow-up calls and site visits to vocational workshops where children working as apprentice, business newly established for children and the children verification process. 
  • Manage all operations of the Foster Care services for unaccompanied children
  • Make sure the children files and records are up to date (e.g. assessments, outcomes, contact notes, and information on dropout, placement, employment, monitoring and contract) and the data entry in to database
  • Produce continuous accurate and timely multiple forms of report of program and share status throughout the project life cycle.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor degree in social science, management and another related field.
  • Four years of experience in leadership position in the non-profit sector
  • Previous working experience in Child Protection.
  • Good interpersonal skills including ability to gain trust and build relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Fluency in speaking, reading and writing in English language.
  • Good computer skills, proficient with MS Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel in the target provinces and its associate districts
