Job Description
The position holder will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the UNHCR funded Handbags project in Kandahar and Helmand Provinces focused and aimed at improving the livelihood of Female headed-households using the Community Based Protection Approach. He/She will work under the direct supervision of the Regional Manager, and will supervise Field/Community Facilitators and Logistic Assistance.
- Responsible for the overall project management and implementation on time on budget and achievement of expected results and objectives.
- Work closely with Regional Manager to ensure that the objectives of the project are attained efficiently in accordance with the approved budget and timelines.
- Travel to the field, monitor and assess project implementation progress and ensure all planned activities are implementing properly on time according to the project procedures and WADAN rules and regulations.
- Support project field team in the oversight of project quality through regular field visits and the facilitation of Program Quality Assurance visits, contributing to and supporting Program Quality Improvement as required.
- Plan and implement the project beneficiary’s livelihood improvement activities.
- Facilitate the production of 20,000 handbags, lead and manage identification and selection process of eligible women-headed households for project participation.
- Community mobilization and engaging the community in activities particularly focused on Women-headed Households’ livelihood improvement.
- Support the logistic assistance on the procurement related matters including the development and update of Procurement Plan.
- Coordinate project related affairs with the UNCHR, WADAN and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit project reports to the UNCHR and WADAN.
- In consultation with the UNHCR and WADAN, coordinate and implement any changes made to the project design methodology and etc.
- Perform any other task as assigned by line manager.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Management or Business Administration and relevant fields.
- At least four years in a Program management position with significant supervision experience (experience in a similar position an advantage)
- Knowledge of cash-based interventions and market based program.
- Strong management skills, including personnel and financial management.
- Experience in logistics and administrative management.
- Good communication and interpersonal skill
Strong knowledge of English language, MS-Office and internet
