About Marie Stopes International Afghanistan: Marie Stopes International Afghanistan (MSIA) is a branch office of MSI and was established in August 2002 after registration with the Government of Afghanistan. MSIA follows MSI’s global mission of ‘children by choice not by chance. Our focus is to reduce maternal mortality through providing quality and sustainable maternal child health (MCH) and reproductive health (RH) services and information in 14 Provinces in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), Religious Affairs, Afghanistan. MSIA achieves this through a network of 31 static, mobile and satellite centres, 28 midwife entrepreneurs and 320 Community Health Workers (CHWs). MSIA also enhances the enabling environment for sexual reproductive health rights through policy engagement and training to increase the size of the skilled workforce to provide quality SRH services in Afghanistan.
Job Description
- Preparing monthly progress report and submit it to MSI:A head office
- Representative of MSIA and active participation in all reproductive health related committee meetings in MoPH.
- Making good coordination of MSIA with reproductive health officers and follow up of FP reports and meeting with MSIA related provinces.
- Providing technical support to family planning department and make good coordination with them as representative of MSIA.
- Active participation with family planning committee meetings and give technical support to them.
- Active participation and support to reproductive health directorate for any related researches/evaluations in MoPH.
- Active participation and representative of MSIA in all task force meetings with MoPH/HMIS.
- Prepare joint monitoring plan and implement of joint monitoring plan through gathering the team for joint monitoring, also provide joint monitoring report to MSIA and RHD.
- Active participation in all policy and strategic related meetings and support to reproductive health directorate.
- Active participation, close coordination and representative of MSIA in over all behaviour change communication related activities with promotion directorate of MoPH.
- Active participation in all maternity health related issues committee meetings in MoPH.
- Active participation and technical support on quality related meetings in MoPH/RHD.
- Active participation and technical support to implant related committee meetings in MoPH/RHD.
- Active participation in all task’s forces meeting and working groups in reproductive health directorate and progress report to MSIA.
- Regular monitoring, supportive supervision, mystery clients review and clients feedback review and focus on client’s centre care issues.
- Providing HMIS analyze report of national family planning data to MSIA, quarterly, six months and annually base.
- Any other task assigned by MSIA
Key Mesure:
- Providing HMIS analyzed report of national FP data to MSIA as per request.
- Active representative in all taskforce meetings and working groups of FP related.
- Active participants in all FP/HMIS committee meetings in MoPH
- Technical support to RHD on reproductive health related issues

- 3- 5 years Proven experience in related field
- Solid experience of working in collaborative environment
- Ability to influence others within the organisation while being open to other people’s views through negotiation skills
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and monitoring internal procedures for adherence to regulations and policies related to projects.
