Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
We at ADWSO seek for a project manager (PM) who proves his/her proactiveness, begin with the end in mind, think win –win skill in his/her all approaches with an excellent integrity to the success of the program goal. The PM addresses the critical needs for reintegration of the Un-Accompanied and Separated Children (UASC) who are deported from neighboring countries, Street Working Children (SWC) as well as those children affected by conflicts in their localities. The ultimate goal of this project is to restore these children normalcy and ensure their reunion and reintegration with the families and communities. This is a challenging project hence the fast-pacing and passionate PM ensures his/her team to render proper psychosocial services, education and skills development initiatives for these children.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Present the program to various stakeholders, attends technical cooperation meetings and undertakes follow up action related to the project scopes.
- Plan project and ensure sound execution of reintegration of UASC and SWC interventions.
- Oversee the identification of UASC and SWC and ensure the eligible children are admitted by the program.
- Conduct visits to the target provinces, meet with the families, communities, children, government and child protection organizations to ensure provision of Psycho-Social Support (PSS), Mental Health PSS, Psychological First Aid (PFA) in order to build resilience of the child affected by conflict and displacement.
- Initiate system, procedure and apply best practices to ensure proper data collection is in place which contributes to the situation analysis of UASC and SWC, and recommend appropriate inputs to the stakeholders.
- Oversee the execution of awareness campaigns for the community-based structures, men, women and make sure awareness messages on unsafe migration and other child protection issues cascaded.
- Request, analyze impact. approve and/ or deny, implement, review and reports due changes and risk towards the project to boost the project success and goals are achieved.
- Produce continuous accurate and timely multiple forms of report of program and share status throughout the project life cycle.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor degree in social science, management and another related field.
- Four years of experience in leadership position in the non-profit sector
- Previous working experience in Child Protection.
- Experience in working closely with community members.
- Good interpersonal skills including ability to gain trust and build relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Fluency in speaking, reading and writing in English language.
- Good computer skills, proficient with MS Office applications.
- Willingness to travel in the northern provinces and its associate districts
