About Sanayee Development Organization (SDO): Sanayee Development Organization (SDO) is an Afghan development NGO, established in 1990 in Peshawar - Pakistan, to serve Afghan refugees in that area. SDO takes its name from Hazrat Abu-ul-Majad Majdod Ibn-e-Adam, well known as Hazrat Hakeem Sanayee, (1088 – 1166 A.D), one of Afghanistan’s most outstanding poets. In 2002, SDO expanded its services and relocated to Kabul - Afghanistan, with the mission to contribute to the emergence of a peaceful, developed and self-sustaining Afghan society through the provision of services to vulnerable and disadvantaged people in remote and underserved rural areas of Afghanistan in the sectors of Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation, Health, Education and Community Development. Job Description
Job Summary:
The Capacity development trainer will be responsible for the development of training materials diversified livelihoods for communities and enterprises. She will develop schedule of the trainings in communities, delivering trainings in the communities and document the whole process for admin/finance department. She will work under direct supervision of Provincial Team Leader towards achieving the project objectives in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Support in selecting target communities and farmers mapping in consultation with the project and district Authorities.
Organize field agents to carry out community sensitization and mobilization for the HASEL Program
Identity and select saffron growers and enterprises based on the project criteria
Conduct field survey, assessment and training needs of the potential project beneficiaries (farmers and enterprises)
Develop training manual for enhancing capacity of the saffron growers on pre and post-harvest management
Assist finance department with providing financial documents of the project activities
Plan and manage saffron growers training program in consultation with the project team leader
Develop training manual in consultation with the project team
Prepare PowerPoint presentations on required trainings
Conduct workshops for farmers in the project target areas considering both the classroom and practical/field learning approaches
Conduct pre and post-tests in training and workshops and write training reports
Participate in all internal and external (coordination) meetings representing the project
Assist the project team members in effective implementation of the project activities
Assist in preparing the project reports.
Any other related tasks/activities assigned by the team Leader/Regional Manager
Job Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in the field of agriculture or relevant
At least three years of experience in the field of trainings/livelihood projects
Able to professionally write and speak in national languages (English proficiency is preferred)
Effective presentation and communication skills
Ability to travel to target Herat districts
Good interpersonal communication skill
Excellence in team working skill
Enthusiastic in learning and self-capacitating
Results-base report writing skills
