Job Description

  • Conduct training needs assessment and develops a training calendar for the period of one year (both for the technical staff and at the community level)
  • Conduct hygiene, sanitation, CLTS, and other related training at the central level for pertinent staff
  • Conduct hygiene, sanitation, CLTS, and other relevant training for the provincial team and communities at the provincial, district, and community level
  • Assist the KAP survey team in conducting a KAP household survey at the village level
  • Data entry of KAP questionnaires into the database.
  • Perform coaching activities in order to supervise and monitor the field activities and field staff.
  • Provide support to the provincial team in the follow-up, Open Defecation Free (ODF) verification, certification, and declaration ceremonies at the community level and whenever wherever was required
  • Supervise & monitor the use of IEC materials in the field
  • Sharing new lessons learned (from the field) with the team
  • Reporting from the activities
  • Assist Provincial WASH Senior Officer and provincial team in day to day tasks and activities
  • Any other assignment given by the management.

Job Requirement

  • The CLTS master trainer should have at least Bachelor degree.
  • At least five years of training experience
  • Experience in CLTS and Family Health Action Groups as well as hygiene and sanitation
  • Experience in working with community and community mobilization
  • Familiarity with cultures of different Afghan communities
  • Very good interpersonal communication skills
  • Very good teaching/lecturing skills
  • Basic information regarding Afghanistan MoPH BPHS system
  • Basic information regarding CLTS Protocol developed by MRRD.
  • Ability to conduct health and hygiene related trainings at the central and field level
  • Ability to implement CLTS and Wins programs at the community level
  • Must be computer literate and familiar with basic computer software including MS Office and internet use
  • Report writing skills
  • Must be able to communicate well in Pashto, Dari and English
  • The both male and female candidates must have the ability to travel to district of our intervention.
  • Ability to conduct health and hygiene related trainings at the central and field level.
