About World Vision International: World Vision Afghanistan (WVA) has been working in Badghis, Herat and Ghor provinces for more than 20 years addressing health, education and livelihood and protection issues to improve the well-being of children. Education in Emergencies (EiE), Community Based Education (CBE), Youths’ Education, Teacher Training for community based and public schools teachers, School Improvement Plan (SIP) and School Construction are the main components WVA Education Programme.
Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
The position is to assist and support the process of MEAL relevant activities and support the CRM officer in registering and following up the complaints/feedback that will be shared by WVA beneficiaries through World Vision Afghanistan’s accountability channels. Also, he/she will be responsible for supporting the CRM officer in fulfilling the field-level accountability needs of the projects and will follow up with project focal points.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:
Accountability and CRM:
- Assist the CRM Officer in registering the complaints/feedback of WVA beneficiaries through the existing channels also in conducting the awareness session.
- Assist the CRM Officer in entering the registered complaints and feedback forms in excel matrix
- Assist the CRM Officer in drafting the Accountability reports weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
Monitoring :
- Assist the M&E Officers in conducting and coordinating the implementation of assessments with admin and P&C department.
- Assist the M&E Officers with conducting post distribution monitoring, or any other monitoring activities assign by supervisors
Evaluation:
- Assist MEAL team to lead the data collection of the baselines and evaluations in the field.
- Assis the M&E Officers in terms of baseline and end line evaluation training facilitations.
Reporting and Learning:
- After conducting a field visit, to immediately share the monitoring report with the supervisor.
- Provide monthly MEAL report to the supervisor
- Support identification of appropriate success stories (particularly women and girls’ beneficiaries storied) for the assigned projects and share with the project manager or/and communication department.
Other:
- Adhere to WV Child and Adult Safeguarding policy and standards.
- Adhere to WV accountability standards and SoP.
- Adhere to the WV Afghanistan Humanitarian
- Assis the CRM Officer in training facilitations in terms of accountability awareness sessions
- Keep close coordination with CRM officer and zonal MEAL coordination about accountability issues.
- To be aware and prepared to implement WV Afghanistan Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs plan under the context of Wold Vision Afghanistan targeted area and interventions.
- Perform other task that would be assigned by line supervisor.
Job Requirement
Required Professional Experience:
- At least one year of regular experience in a similar job and having experience and knowledge of MEAL is preferred.
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification:
- University degree related to Social Science, and Management or Computer science.
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Experience in kobo collect mobile data collection platform
- Ability to set priorities and undertake new tasks quickly
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences
- Cross –cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity and physical stamina.
- Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment
- Ability to maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural contexts, psychologically stressful environments and physical hardship conditions with limited resources
- Willing to travel in different districts when necessary
- Personal Management including initiative, self-motivation and direction.
- MEAL Certification is preferred.
- Female candidates would be preferred.
Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement:
- The MEAL assistant should be willing to travel to the all WVA targeted areas in each zone including Herat, Ghor, Faryab and Badghis provinces.
Language Requirements:
- English/Dari/Pashto
