Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans and implements appropriate logistics preparations for the related
- Activities such as Purchasing documentation stocking.
- Participates in the planning of the aforementioned meetings, and advises on logistics considerations.
- Ensures appropriate processes and systems are in place to ensure efficiency of the logistics operations (e.g. routing alternatives, several quotations for best price alternative).
- Ensures appropriate planning, implementation, follow-up and evaluation of logistics operations.
- Conducts an evaluation of the provided services and includes observations in the
- Completion report in order to assist in the improvement of procedures and practices related to logistics.
- Any other duty as might be required by the supervisor and the project coordinator.
- Responsible for the supervision monitoring, and detailed recording of all warehouse and stock movement activities.
- Ensure proper warehouse management. This includes storage space, condition, and the actual storage of stock.
- Work closely with vendors and the Procurement Manager to obtain needed materials with particular attention to cost control, quality and timely delivery.
- . Ensure maximum availability and implementation of controls and monitoring mechanisms
- For all logistics assets such as vehicles, generators, computers and all other technical items using either petrol, diesel or kerosene to maximize efficiency and ensure regular maintenance
- Responsible for overseeing and monitoring asset management and
- updating asset list as required
- Prepare Stock Movement and Fleet reports, as well as a logistic report
- Check -in monthly with operation officer, Providing monthly updates (monthly work plan) on all logistical activities
- Maintain familiarity with relevant logistics compliance issues as required by policies of RRAA, and donors, and legal statutes in order to ensure compliance
Job Requirement
- Bachelor Degree in BBA, or economics.
- 5 Years of work experience as Logistic/procurement Officer with NGOs
- Ability to travel to different provinces and districts on a regular basis
- Excellent written and verbal communication, in Pashto, Dari, and English
- Procurement and Contract Management Skill
- Proficiency with the computer (MS Office)
- Decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
