Job Description

The position’s purpose is to assist logistic department on procurement; logistics supply chain management,  asset/Inventory management, fleet management and reporting activities, follow up with related department.

Job Requirement

Procurement:

  • Under the direct supervision of Country Logistic Manager is responsible for managing the logistical and procurement activities for smooth running of projects.  
  • Ensuring up to date procurement tracking sheets are maintained and shared with relevant programs.
  • Adhering ASLO and its donor’s procurement rules and regulations
  • Preparing internal and external audit reports when required
  • Assist asset/ inventory senior officer in overall asset/ inventory management.  
  • Submission of monthly reports to country logistic manager/ coordinator.
  • Ensure that procurement decisions are in ASLO’s best interest with regard but not limited to Value for money, use of reliable and ethical suppliers, Promotion the use of appropriate technology, Support local initiative and production where appropriate and possible.
  • Implements, controls, and maintains an effective communications system with other departments in effective way.
  • Assist procurement section in, planning, designing and implement effective procurement and supply chain management system ensuring, project required goods, services and works are carried out at the right time, right place with adequate quality and overall cost effectiveness.
  • Receipt of all goods delivered by suppliers and handed over to project and ensures the correct quality, quantity, and early delivery to end users.
  • Stocking/warehouse management and report writing methods and procedures when required
  • Attend weekly departmental and management meetings and present logistics activities update related to the project activities
  • Regular weekly and monthly report to project in charge and country Logistic department
  • Other tasks assigned by the supervisor
  • To maintain proper records and filing system for kandahar logistical matters
  • To establish close coordination with program and other team including country relevant departments
  • Arranges importation of goods and ensures clearance through customs with close help of liaison and pharmacy department.
  • Ability to cope with stressful situations and work with limited resources.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
