About Company
About Union Aid: Union Aid established in 1979 working for Afghan refugees in Pakistan and people in Afghanistan in different sectors such as health, education, livelihood, emergency relief, basic infrastructure with the support of UNHCR, WHO, WFP, AFV, GIZ, MI and several other donors. Currently, Union Aid is implements various projects in health, livelihood, education, and rehabilitation of basic infrastructures, repatriation of IDPs, and emergency relief projects in different provinces of Afghanistan.
Job Description
The Education Coordinator will oversee all the AFV Education Projects in Afghanistan in order to improve the teaching education delivery practices through collaboration with staff, students, and all relevant stakeholders. The aim of the AFV Education program is to enable children and youth with a special focus on girls to have access to quality education.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct field visits to all AFV schools and monitor the project activities in order to identify chances, risks, needs & gaps to provide feedback to initiate technical corrective actions.
- Promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes in the activities.
- Coordinate the capacity-building workshops for education staff.
- Assist and contribute to the development of training materials, modules, and manuals.
- Coordinate and maintain good working relationships with governmental and non-governmental stakeholders in the field of education.
- Prepare a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Education.
- Take an active role in the quality implementation of educational activities in technical components of education in accordance with the curriculum of Afghanistan.
- Timely preparation and compile of progress reports from AFV schools and submit to the ED for further submission to AFV, Germany, in English and on a monthly basis.
- Inform and consult with AFV Germany, in case of problems and unexpected school obstacles
- Supervision and moderation in case of disagreements among staff in AFV schools.
- Collect and record data and statistics.
- Any other related task as assigned by AFV and Union Aid, considering 100% priority for AFV tasks.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor/University degree in Education
- 5 years of experience in relevant field
- Knowledge and familiar curriculum with the Ministry of Education of Afghanistan
- Excellent in national languages; Dari and Pashto and good in English
- Experience in capacity building, trainings, and workshops
- Experience in project monitoring and evaluation and need assessment
- Excellent report writing skills, presenting and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
