About Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance: Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is a non-profit organization established in 1987 by a team of Afghan volunteers, registered with the Ministry of Economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. CHA is a multi-sectoral organization implementing Health & Nutrition, Education, Agriculture, Rural Development/ Social Protection, and Disaster Risk Reduction projects in different provinces of the country. Currently, CHA is looking for qualified candidates for the position of PSN Focal Points. The candidates will be responsible for identifying PSN cases in the mentioned provinces, attending project coordination meetings, and reporting to the line manager on a daily and weekly basis.
Job Description
- Conduct regular protection monitoring from Returning Refugees, Spontaneous returnees, passport holders, and Deportees via COBO collect software and provide technical support for the border monitoring team.
- Ensure accurate and quality protection monitoring is conducted from various people passing the border and coming to Afghanistan
- Support protection border monitoring team in collaboration with the Protection Team Leader
- During protection border monitoring activities, identify protection risks affecting individuals, households, and groups, and provide reports to UNHCR/CHA
- Maintain cases records and case database up-to-date
- Produce timely, weekly, and monthly reports to the team leader
- Support the Protection Team Leader in monitoring staff working hours and other office issues
- Maintain positive work relationships within the team, and promote team-building efforts in coordination with the Protection Team Leader
- Must treat all partners and beneficiaries with dignity and respect.
- Performs any other tasks assigned by CHA and/or UNHCR
Job Requirement
The successful applicants will need to address the following criteria:
- 12 degree or above
- Adequate ability in beneficiary’s assessment, community awareness, and controlling the assessment process.
- Ability to analyze and sort out problems
- Experience with participatory community development principles and practices
- Excellent communication in Dari, Pashto, and English.
- Sufficient knowledge of working with KOBO data collection tools.
