Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE: Under the direction of the child protection officer and in coordination with subordinate staff will be responsible for implementing save the children’s activities in project coverage area in Mazar and Naher-i-Shae of Balkh province on child protection to make the delivery of the child rights and child protection a reality. S/he will be responsible to work directly with the communities and children.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: Child protection officer
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :
- Working closely with CBCPN and CG members in the community where s/he is responsible
- Mobilizing the community and conduct regular meeting according to the project plan
- To survey family situation of children in crisis including families, orphan children, extremely vulnerable families and children, and introduce them for relevant organizations.
- Coordinate children issues with CBCPNs in a systematic manner, considering the best interest of the child.
- To assist the CP Officers in provision of relevant information that helps them to present to CPAN (while during sharing outcomes).
- Collecting update data/ information that reflect and prioritize the situation and magnitude of street working children in the city/ province.
- Have ability and knowledge to work with various environments - sense of respect to multi culture and behaves in the community.
- Closely follow up child protection cases/ case management.

Additional job responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities set out above are not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to carry out additional duties from time to time which are reasonable in relation to their level of skills and experience.
In the event of a significant humanitarian emergency, the post-holder will be expected to work outside their normal job description; vary their working hours; and occasionally work from a different location should the need arise.
