Job Description

Job Purpose

The basic roll of this position is to assist Project officers in effective community mobilization to implement the program in the province. She/he is responsible to supervise the work of CB- teachers/mentors, and or facilitators. Also she/he is responsible to work closely with district government authorities, local Shuras (CECs, PTAs, CDCs and etc), and ensure that the program work plan is implemented in high quality standard, and on best interest of children.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :

The GEC- Community Mobilizer is accountable to carry out the following key role and responsibilities: 
•    Responsible to organize, motivate and mobilize target communities for high quality standard program implementation. 
•    Develop and implement all community mobilization activities, and make sure that the community level stakeholders actively participate in the process of project cycles management.
•    Assist GEC project officers in community mobilization, beneficiary’s selection and project implementation in the targeted districts. 
•     Collaborate with master trainers/trainers and M&E officer in data collection process, organizing training workshops, identification of trainings venues/trainees and etc.
•    Support the M&E officer in conducting base line, midterm review or audit, project-end participatory community assessments and evaluation in project coverage area.
•    Work closely with CB - AEP teachers/mentors or facilitators, and the District Education Department (DED) for quality program implementation. 
•    Deliver the program weekly, monthly and quarterly work plan in high quality standard and provide the work progress report to the project officers. 
•    Supervise the work of AEP teachers, mentors, and facilitators and assist them in the delivery of program work plan.

Job Requirement

QUALIFICATIONS 
•    Graduated from high school. 
•     Very good spoken and written Pashto, Dari – understanding of English language is desirable. 
•    Able to travel inside Afghanistan/ Kandahar and related districts, outside of the duty station as and when required. 
•     Good communication and inter personal relation skills. 
•    Ability to work independently in the field. 
•    A good team player & problem solver. 
EXPERIENCE
•    At least 2 years of work experience in areas of community mobilization.
•     Very good spoken and written Pashto & Dari.
•    Good communication and inter personal relation skills.
•    Ability to work independently in the field. 
•    A good team player & problem solver. 

Desirable: 
•    Understanding of English language is desirable.
