Job Description

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Engage with local communities and families on child protection issues.
  • Prepare and perform public awareness programs on children rights, violence against children and social support for children’s victims of violence.
  • Facilitate organizing public events for promoting children rights in the target locations.
  • Assist in the development of resources and tools to enhance social work interventions.
  • Provide support to youth networks for organizing advocacy campaigns on children rights.
  • Support organizing awareness session for members of local community structures.
  • Distribution and keeping record of IEC materials to the project beneficiaries. 
  • Document cases of violence and support in providing social and legal support for survivors.
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of vulnerable individuals and groups.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with external partners, including, social service providers NGOs, government agencies, and educational institutions.
  • Facilitate referral of violence cases for other specialized services
  • Ensure high quality of social services, and uphold the highest standards of professional ethics and confidentiality within overall project
  • Keep and maintain daily accurate and up-to-date case record and documentation in a confidential and safe manner
  • Report regularly on client outcomes, program challenges, and successes.
  • Adhere to the organization's code of conduct and national social work standards.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by direct supervisor

Job Requirement

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • University degree in social work, psychology, Sociology or another relevant field.
  • Minimum 3-5 Year of professional experience working in child protection programs.
  • Proven experience in social work and community engagement programs.
  • Good knowledge about children rights and child protection sector
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong reporting and presentation skills
  • Excellent oral and writing skills in Pashto, Dari and English
  • Able to facilitate child protection trainings
  • Able to provide reports within due deadlines
  • Able to work under pressure, manage crises, and handle challenging cases.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer programs (e.g., case management software, MS Office)
  • Analyze cultural sensitivity and awareness of diverse social, cultural, and economic contexts.
