Job Description
Objective 1: Procurement
Activities/Main duties:
- Raise PRs for Base management.
- Conduct needed procurement according to INTERSOS’ procurement manual and instruction received by Supervisors and PMs.
- Conduct frequent market assessment including collection quotations from local suppliers.
- Ensure good relationships with local suppliers by clearly explaining INTERSOS’ procedures and payment conditions.
- Record precisely all procurement and consumption of supply with use of GRN, GDN, Waybill and stock cards.
- Produce a weekly report on logistics and procurement for Logistic Coordinator.
Objective 2: Security
Activities/Main duties:
- Ensure guards respect security procedures at the gate and in managing flow of staff and vehicles.
- Ensure guards screen visitors at the main gate of the Office (no weapons allowed).
- Ensure all visitors fill the required logbook and receive the appropriate badge.
- Ensure all staff sign the daily in/out logbook
- Ensure guards screen visitors according to Covid-19 SOPs.
- Ensure all lights in the compound are working for security at night.
- Must inform the direct supervisor of any possible safety threats that can hamper INTERSOS Base (GH & office) or anything unusual in the street.
- Ensure all staff are aware of the security procedures, of the positions of fire extinguisher and of first aid kits.
- Ensure First aid kit and emergency supplies are in stock and kept in good conditions.
Objective 3: Housing
Activities/Main duties:
- Ensure that the generator is well maintained (fuel, water and oil). Switching on and off the generator when needed and report malfunctioning, and fill generator logbooks and conduct other logistics-administrative support tasks if requested by the supervisor.
- Ensure office and house supply are in stock. Contact supervisor to arrange procurement before any item runs out of stock, the procurement should always guarantee enough stock of essential items.
- Make sure cleaners and guards conduct daily tasks in house and garden maintenance.
- Make sure all staff due to receive airtime receive it in time monthly.
Job Requirement
- At least 1 year of work experience in logistics positions.
- High school diploma essential. Bachelor degree in technical field (computer sciences, engineering, business administration, etc.) preferred.
- Experience in supply chain management and fleet management is preferred.
- Excellent computer skills (proven computer literacy, in particular Excel proficency is a must) and good knowledge on computer soft and hardware
Other requirements:
- Native Pashto, with excellent written and spoken knowledge of Dari, and excellent English language skills (written and spoken)
- Strong team spirit, comfortable in a multicultural/ethnic environment
- Excellent observation and analysis capacity
- Attention to detail and structured way of approaching tasks
- Ability to plan ahead and output oriented
- Able to ensure quick quality delivery in demanding and stressful environment
