About AIHRC: Introduction: The Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC), as the only national human rights institution enshrined in the Afghan Constitution, is responsible for monitoring the human rights situation, investigating human rights violations in Afghanistan, and promoting and protecting human rights in Afghanistan. Furthermore, according to the Law on the Structure, Duties, and Mandate of the Commission, the institution is independent to develop and implement its programs for the promotion, protection, and monitoring of human rights, as well as plan and implement its budgets independently. OBJECTIVE The Donor Coordinator is employed to systematize AIHRC relationship to the donors and ensure timely reporting. To achieve this, the DC will create new reporting processes and products, ensure smooth internal and external information flows, and will be the focal point for all donor assessments and reporting
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Focal Point: The DC is the focal point for all donor coordination concerning annual audit,
assessments and reporting - Reporting and audit: The DC ensures that all reports are submitted to donors are on time
and of a high standard. He or She will also coordinate with donors regarding the annual audit of the commission in coordination with related departments. - System/Processes: The DC creates a new system/process to ensure timely donor
reporting. Reporting products: The DC will work on the reporting templates improving the
quality of reporting products; and regularly seek and integrate donor feedback when
creating the new reporting products. - Database: The DC creates and maintains a database of all donors, with contact
information, reports and deadlines. In addition, the DC creates a project management
template on Excel tracking all individuals working on reporting, deadlines, and other
relevant information. - Information flows: Create and ensure smooth information flows internally between different
teams/departments/individuals working on donor related issues. Create and ensure
smooth information flows externally with donor representatives leading on reporting. - Information Management: Maintain all notes, letters, contracts, past reports, templates and other documents pertaining to donor relations.
- Relationships: Maintain good relationships with donor representatives at the technical level.
- Project Committee Meetings; maintain the guest list, agenda, content (e.g. presentations
and documents required); additionally, attend PCM and take meeting minutes. - The DC will have direct supervision and support from the Executive Director. He or She will work closely with relevant Commissioners, the Finance team and the
Evaluation team.
KEY DELIVERABLES
- All donor reports and assessments submitted on time and of high quality, with donor feedback integrated;
- New reporting process and system;
- New reporting templates responsive to and integrating donor concerns and feedback;
- Smooth internal communication between different teams/individuals
working on donor reporting; and external communication flows on donor reporting;
Job Requirement
Qualification:
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Public administration with 5 year related experience or Master Degree in the mentioned fields with 3 years related experience.
Professional writing and speaking ability of Dari, Pashto and English Languages are must.
