Job Description
We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join our team. The Shop Assistant plays a key role in providing an exceptional customer service experience while maintaining the shop's visual appeal and organization. You will be responsible for assisting customers, handling sales transactions, and ensuring the shop runs smoothly on a daily basis.
Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Service:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide knowledgeable assistance regarding products, services, promotions, and shop policies.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly and courteously.
Sales & Merchandising:
- Assist in achieving sales goals by actively promoting products and upselling.
- Maintain the visual merchandising of the shop, ensuring products are well-displayed and shelves are stocked.
- Replenish stock on the sales floor as needed.
Cash Handling & Transactions:
- Operate the cash register, process payments, and issue receipts.
- Ensure accuracy in cash handling.
- Balance the cash register at the end of the shift.
Shop Maintenance:
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and presentable by tidying shelves, racks, and aisles.
- Ensure all stock is stored properly and adhere to safety and health regulations.
- Assist in stock taking and inventory management when required.
Teamwork & Communication:
- Collaborate with team members and shop management to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure customer needs are met.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
Promotions & Marketing:
- Promote special offers and loyalty programs to customers.
- Assist with promotional events, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
Adherence to Policies & Procedures:
- Follow shop policies, including health and safety regulations, loss prevention, and security protocols.
- Ensure compliance with company standards on customer service, product handling, and shop cleanliness.
Job Requirement
Educational Background:
High School graduate. A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in the field of Sales (Telecom Sector).
Skills:
- Fluent at English and local lingual.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
- A team player who demonstrates patience, flexibility and honesty.
- Strong customer service orientation Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Be willing and able to meet tight deadlines and work long hours when required.
Qualification and Requirements:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand client needs and industry trends.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite (Salesforce knowledge is a plus).
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events (if applicable).
