Job Description
Sayed Development and Humanitarian Organization (SDHO) is seeking for number of emumerators to play a crucial role in data collection and management an to gather accurate and reliable data from various sources, such as surveys, interviews, and observations, which are essential for assessing the needs of the community, understanding project impacts, and guiding decision-making processes.
They must be well-trained in the methodologies and tools used for data collection, ensuring they adhere to ethical standards and maintain the confidentiality of respondents and work closely with project managers and researchers to design effective questionnaires and sampling strategies that align with the project’s objectives.
Job Requirement
• A minimum of a high school diploma; a degree in social sciences, business administration, economics, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in data collection, field research, or similar roles is an advantage. Familiarity with business development concepts is a plus.
• Proficient in various data collection methods, including surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
• Ability to analyze data for accuracy and identify inconsistencies or patterns.
• Familiarity with data entry software (e.g., Excel, SPSS) and mobile data collection tools (e.g., KoBoToolbox, ODK).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with respondents and convey information clearly.
• Ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders, including community members and business owners.
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and reliability of collected data.
• Commitment to ethical research practices, including confidentiality and respect for respondents.
• Flexibility to work in varying environments and adapt to changing project needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and contribute positively to group dynamics.
• Willingness to travel within the project area and work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if necessary.
• Proficiency in the local languages (Dari and Pashto) is essential; additional language skills (English) may be beneficial.
• Must be willing to undergo training sessions on data collection methodologies and project-specific protocols.
• Previous Fieldwork Experience: Experience working on business development or economic research projects.
