Job Description

The Warehouse Senior Officer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and safe management of goods and inventory. This role supervises warehouse staff, manages inventory control, implements warehouse policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards. The Senior Officer is expected to optimize warehouse processes, improve productivity, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the supply chain.

 

Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods.
    • Oversee loading and unloading activities to ensure proper handling of goods.
    • Manage the inventory system and ensure accurate stock levels through regular stock counts and reconciliation.
    • Monthly visiting warehouses and distribution points in districts and provinces.
    • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse personnel, including warehouses or distribution points in districts and provinces.
    • Train new staff members in warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment use.
    • Assign tasks and ensure optimal staffing levels based on operational needs.
    • Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
    • Ensure accurate inventory records and monitor stock movements to prevent discrepancies.
    • Implement processes for managing stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and ensure inventory is regularly checked for expiration dates and quality.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Promote and enforce the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling practices.
    • Lead training sessions on safety procedures and accident prevention.
    • Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities and inventory transactions.
    • Ensure all warehouse and distribution points documents are up to date
    • Ensure continuous receiving reports from districts and provinces.
    • Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly reports on warehouse performance and activities for senior management.
    • Ensure all documentation is filed and maintained according to company policies and legal requirements.

Job Requirement

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
    • Proven experience in inventory management, staff supervision, and process optimization.
