Job Description
- Keep financial records and perform financial procedures (e.g, receipts, payments requests, and petty cash).
- Prepare proper recording of accounting and financial information and documentation.
- Perform the reconciliation and verification of accounts regarding cash at hand and cash at bank
- Follows up all transactions continuously and provide updates to the Project Coordinator & the Country Finance Officer
- To verify payment requests, financial transactions in order to meet the required procedure and budget availability.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports regarding all cash deposits to the bank(s)
- Ensure compliance with the accounting and auditing requirements.
- To prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports as per the donor and management requirement.
- To maintain proper cash forecasting system and to ensure adequate funds are available to meet the working requirement of JRS.
- Verify the accuracy and authenticity of financial records and reports
- To help the Project Coordinator & the Country Finance Officer to draft and amend financial policies and advise the management accordingly
- confirm budgets for workshops, events, trainings, and Ensure compliance with donor grant agreements and legal requirements for the project
- To monitor the payroll system regarding average exchange rate wise, deduction of salary tax as per the labor law of Afghanistan
- To ensure tax deductions are properly managed (Salary, suppliers, house rent, services, etc.) and deposited within due time to the government.
- Maintains and updates inventory of the organization
- Assists Admin Officer in Admin related tasks.
- As required, drafts and processes correspondence; arranges translation of documents.
- Performs other related administrative duties, as required, e.g., operational travel programmed; physical space planning; identification of office technology needs and maintenance of equipment, software and systems; organizing and coordinating administrative arrangements for training, seminars, conferences and translation.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance or related field.
- 3 years of experience
- Should know MS office package, or any accounting ERP or software.
- Should be able to communicate effectively in local languages and English.
- Able to work in individual or as part of a team.
- Reliable, Honest, Transparent; Commitment for hard work & exceptional work ethics.
