Job Description

Job Summary:

Lead, guide, and monitor the distribution team, fostering positive communication and teamwork to ensure collective success in achieving set objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish an inspiring team environment that encourages open communication.
  • Oversee the performance of all staff at distribution points, including laborers, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to standards.
  • Meet with site staff daily to assign duties, review plans, and confirm the distribution schedule, ensuring the necessary supplies are available, organized, and that the site is clean.
  • Develop close working relationships with the CP Team Leader; conduct daily coordination meetings for effective planning and operational flow.
  • Assess the FDP area to optimize team setup and workflow, maximizing efficiency.
  • Address any cases of staff misconduct, ensuring adherence to office policies.
  • Confirm team attendance and readiness at the start of each day.
  • Provide midday updates on distribution activities and complete end-of-day reporting.
  • Conduct token counting and reconcile reports with CP, GG, and WFP representatives.
  • Capture and submit photos of signed reconciliation forms.
  • Complete stock sheets, ensuring both Team Leader and Stock Management Officer sign off.
  • Set clear team goals, delegate tasks effectively, and set deadlines.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations, monitor team performance, and report on metrics.
  • Identify training needs, provide coaching, and resolve any team issues or conflicts.
  • Acknowledge and reward outstanding performance.
 

Job Requirement

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in management, social sciences, or a related field, with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of performance metrics.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Sound decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency with computers, including websites, social media, databases, and other communication tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Dari, and Pashto.
