Job Purpose:

Monitor movements and security context management and follow-up of vehicles and booking.

He works under the authority of the HASO.

 

Job Description

The Duties and responsibilities may include but not limited to: 

Key Responsibilities:

1: Tracking Movements

  • Make regular radio checks, using VHF/Mobile Phone/Satellite, with people and vehicles outside the office, according to updated security rules and record all movements in the record book
  • Participate in the briefing of the teams before the movements.
  • Actively manage attribution and booking of cars by using the logbook, and report to HASO/M in case of a conflicting request
  • Regularly escort international staff members while they have movement for private and official purposes inside and outside of the province.
  • Inform and follow instructions from HASO/M on movements regarding security according to the scale of events.
  • Radio Operator to ensure CCTV cameras or operational, and the records are kept confidential.
  • Record all the visitors visiting the HRT program both national and international in the visitors' book, including their arrival date, departure dates, the purpose of the visit, accommodation details if stayed at HI guest house or private guest house, etc.
  • Monthly share the records of all movements with HASO.
  • Be flexible to have the shifts of nights and weekends.

 

2: Monitoring the Security Context:

  • Daily monitoring of security situation for regularly updating the security indicators sheets and submitting to HASO/M/AM on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Alert and report to HASO/M/AM any incident or problems during movements
  • Ensure all HI vehicles, premises, and equipment are compliant with basic security standards in close coordination with HASO/M
  • Support HASO/M in regularly updating emergency contact numbers and signboards etc.
  • Report any non-compliance with security protocols to HASO/M/AM for immediate action
  • Identify contacts for gathering information on access and security in the areas of operation.

 

3: Communication Tool Maintenance/Safety Management:

  • Respect and follow up on the radio operator’s Standard Operating Procedure
  • Basic set up and maintenance of VHF handsets, Satellite phones, and mobile phones
  • Train new arrivals in movement procedures and the use of communication and tracking tools.
  • Ensure that radio equipment is in perfect working condition
  • Support HASO/M in quarterly renewing Radio licenses and inform the KBL base.
  • Support HASO/M yearly renewing Thuraya license and any private telecommunication network sim cards.
  • Ensure that communication Tools and Equipment are well-functioning and in good working condition
  • Support HASO/M for safety management (evaluation of HI premises, Hibernation kits, communication means, fire extinguishers, First Aid Kits, security food stock, Security alarms, Emergency doors, vehicle equipment, safe rooms, etc.)
  • Contribute to the management of the security of the premises and the personnel
  • Participate in the preparation and facilitation of security, safety, and humanitarian access workshops and training.

 

4: Team Management:

  • Perform the responsibilities of the direct line manager for the office and projects’ guards in the base as per the approved organogram.
  • Prepares the duty schedules for the guards and drivers.
  • Prepares and consolidates the overtime requests for the guards, & drivers and submits to AM for approval in advance.
  • Preparing appraisal forms of Guards and drivers.

Job Requirement

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School certificate.
  • Proven experience 3 years in same position.
  • Able to speak and write in English, able to speak Pashto (+ plus).
