JEAO is working in Afghanistan since 2007, implementing integrated health projects managed mainly by national staff supported technically and management wise by expatriate staff from head office.
Job Description
- Design curriculum for TVET program, tailored to the needs of the beneficiaries. Ensure that the curriculum covers essential business skills, including financial management, marketing, and product development.
- Provide ongoing consultation and support to beneficiaries after the training program. Assist them in refining their business plans, overcoming challenges, and accessing necessary resources to start their businesses.
- Conduct thorough market assessments to identify potential business opportunities and market demands. Establish sustainable market linkages for the products created by the project beneficiaries.
- Develop and implement business models that align with the project's objectives. Ensure these models are adaptable and scalable to support long-term economic growth for the beneficiaries.
- Work with trainers and consultants to design and deliver business development training for beneficiaries. Focus on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and market navigation.
- Collaborate with the M&E specialist to assess the effectiveness of business development activities and adapt strategies based on feedback and outcomes.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with local businesses, NGOs, and other stakeholders to support project objectives and expand business opportunities for beneficiaries.
- Provide regular updates and reports to Project Manager on business development activities, challenges, and achievements.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Vocational Training, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, vocational training, or entrepreneurship, particularly in the context of livelihood projects. Experience in curriculum development and post-training support is essential.
- Expertise in developing and delivering training programs, particularly in vocational skills and entrepreneurship.
- Strong understanding of business planning, financial management, and market strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse groups of beneficiaries.
- Analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of training programs and support beneficiaries in implementing business plans.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and meet deadlines
