Job Description
Market linkage officer is responsible to lead and manage marketing promotion activities in all targeted districts.
To prepare market linkage manual and other training materials for training of the beneficiaries regarding importance and different types of the markets.
Market linkage officer will be responsible for establishment and maintaining a list of local market or dealers in the targeted community to identify the potential selling facilities for the products.
To provide proper planning for daily activities.
Market linkage officer is responsible to establish beneficiary’s committees for market linkage activities facilitation.
To establish and maintain relationships between producers and buyers.
To facilitate partnerships between producers and market actors.
To organize training sessions for the beneficiaries regarding market linkage activities to their products to the customers.
To encourage beneficiaries to engage in value-added activities to enhance product quality and marketability.
Market linkage office will support initiatives that improve post-harvest handling and processing of the products.
To evaluate the effectiveness of market linkage initiatives and recommend improvements.
To work jointly with agriculture & livestock trainers and agriculture supervisors for providing technical supports in terms of identifying type of markets available in the community.
Work closely and conduct regular meetings with the dealers and market actors.
Maintain relationships with the customers to ensure collaboration in promotional activities.
Regularly interacts with program manager to receive information and updates about marketing progress and results.
Presents regular updates and information to other department heads and executives.
To prepare comprehensive report of daily activities for direct supervisor.
Able to travel to districts of Kandahar, Uruzgan and Helmand provinces.
Any other tasks assigned by line manager.
Job Requirement
University degree preferred in Business Administration (BBA), Agribusiness, Social Sciences, and Public Administration, Marketing or another related field.
Proven experience as market linkage officer.
Minimum 1-3 years of working experience with NGOs in project implementation/management.
Good understanding of market research techniques, data analysis and statistics methods
Proficient in MS Office.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Good English writing and speaking skills
Fluency in Pashto / Dari
Must have Interpersonal Skills (Leadership,Communication, Presentation, Teamwork)
