Job Description
Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager and Education officer, the incumbent of this position will coordinate with respective stakeholder of the project, record and collect data through FGDs, interviews, questionnaires, resolve emerged conflicts, ensure transparency and report to supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project activities with the district level authorities.
- Identify the community structures to understand how they come together and decide upon key issues and to promote a reliable communication network for the implementation of activities in the sites.
- Conduct coordination meetings with identified community structures, influential people, elders and youths.
- Conduct focused group discussions within the communities for raising public awareness about the project goal, objectives, activities and the beneficiaries. He/she will spend approximately 80% of his/her working time in the sites.
- Organize and analyze the collected data for every applicant and maintain a database for all the applicants.
- Ensure transparency in all the events and activities of the project.
- Maintaining regular communication with the elders, youth and other influential people of the community.
- Reach out to the complains made by the residents and find out proper solutions for the issues and complains shared.
- Coordinate with supervisor and report on daily basis from the field.
- Provide relevant information about the scope of the project and resolve raised issues on the site.
- Record data in the relevant tools/database.
- Ensure the timely submission of data.
- Ensure that responses are recorded properly and precisely.
- Other tasks assigned by his/her direct supervisor.
Training Areas:
- Planning, organizing and scheduling the training.
- Preparing and designing the training materials (pretest, posttest etc.).
- Organizing a training workshop (logistics, finances, venue, refreshment, etc).
- Pre and posttests analysis and reporting the synthesis of this exercise to the Education Officer and through PO to the Project Manager.
- Demonstrating demo, preparing model lesson plans, and their handouts.
- Training the targeted trainees in methodology and other training packages specified for the project interventions.
- Observe and coach the trained teacher’s classroom.
- Monitor and supervise the impact of training based on the collected data.
- Eager to learn about new training areas and training contents needed for the CBE, ALP, and other related programs.
- Support the provincial education team and project Manager with any technical issues or support where they need.
- Preparing/compiling individual training manuals for each training package.
- Regularly visit the CBE and ALP classes whether the training contents are being implemented in class/community environment to gauge the impact of the training delivered.
- Any other tasks assigned by his line supervisor and accountable to senior management.
Job Requirement
- A Bachelor degree in social science, education or any other related field
- Minimum two years’ experience of working with the communities and collecting of data.
- Excellent listening and communication skills, problem-solving and inter-personal skills
- Good in MS word, excel and PowerPoint.
