Job Description
- Design a comprehensive curriculum for local language classes, focusing on the specific needs of adolescent returnees. Ensure that the curriculum is culturally relevant, engaging, and effective in improving language proficiency.
- Oversee the implementation of the local language programs, working closely with trainers to ensure that the curriculum is delivered effectively and that the educational goals of the project are met.
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to the trainers delivering the language programs. This includes conducting training sessions for trainers, providing feedback, and ensuring that they have the necessary materials and resources.
- Collaborate with the M&E specialist to assess the effectiveness of the language programs and make necessary adjustments based on feedback and outcomes. Monitor the progress of students and ensure that the curriculum is meeting their needs.
- Work with local communities, schools, and other stakeholders to ensure that the language programs are well-integrated and supported. Foster partnerships that enhance the educational opportunities for the returnees.
- Provide regular reports to the Project Manager on the progress of the language classes, the success of the students, and any challenges faced.
- Work closely with the project manager and report all activities of the center to the project to JEAO head office.
- Report any risk to project manager on timely manner and seek solution.
- Develop education and teaching plan in line with the curricula implemented in the past and
- Develop extra curricula activities plan along with teachers.
- Manage teachers’ daily activities according to the developed plan.
- Ensure a good working relationship with all sides involved in this project.
- Develop students’ database, organize staff/ teacher’s meeting.
Any other project tasks will be assigned by the Project Manager.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, or a related field. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience years of experience in education, with a focus on language instruction and curriculum development. Experience working with returnees or marginalized groups is an advantage.
- Expertise in curriculum design, particularly for language education.
- Strong understanding of educational needs for adolescent learners.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to support and guide trainers effectively.
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to the needs of returnee communities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse groups of beneficiaries.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and meet deadlines
